Instructions

Reports published in the Exploreadministration.fi service have been created with the Power BI tool. All information is available to everyone, and there are no separate restrictions to access rights. The data content cannot be edited through the service.

Basic functionalities of the Power BI reports

All Power BI reports within the Exploreadministration.fi service are embedded in the website. In addition to this, a link is provided below each report for displaying the report in question in a full-screen view. All reports feature basic functionalities which are available as described in the instructions below.

Menus

The menus can be accessed with the mouse or Tab key and selecting Ctrl + right arrow. To make a selection, use the mouse or move up or down with the arrow keys and then press Enter. In some comparison report menus, you can select multiple menu points.

Report tabs

Some reports feature multiple tabs for viewing the same information from different perspectives or at varying levels of detail. The tabs are shown in the upper right corner of the report and can be opened with a mouse click or selecting the tab with the Tab key and pressing Enter.

Clearing report selections

To clear the selections in the report and restore the default settings, click Clear selections.

Viewing an individual visualisation

If you would like to view an individual graph in more detail, you can enlarge it by moving the mouse cursor on it and clicking the square icon that appears at the right edge of the graph.

Exporting the data to your computer

When you navigate to a graph or table with the mouse or Tab key, an icon with three dots is displayed in the upper right corner. This opens a menu, where the topmost option is export data. The software may then prompt you to specify whether to export a summary of the data or the data on which the graph is based. You can also select whether to export the data into an Excel or CSV file.

Please note that you cannot export data into Excel from the full-screen view accessible via the separate link. This is a feature of Power BI.

NOTE!

More keyboard commands can be displayed by accessing a report with the mouse or Tab key and pressing shift+?. To exit the command instructions, press Esc.
