Monthly review for central government finances

• The information on March is now available

  At the end of March, the cumulative income and expense balance of the state budget economy was -5.9 billion euros, while the income and expense balance at the same time last year was -3.7 billion euros. Compared to the same time last year, revenues increased by 1.6 billion euros, and expenses by 3.7 billion euros.

  The monthly review for central government finances is divided into sections on-budget entities and central government finances. Below them are entities marked in bold, for which separate reports and related figures have been prepared. You can view these by clicking on the links. In addition, the third section of the website publishes an analysis of monthly review for central government finances, which presents the most significant changes in central government finances a few times a year.

• Publication timetable of the review

  • January and February reviews between 5 and 20 April
  • March-November reviews between 16th and 20th of each month
  • December review by the end of March

  Publication timetable for the turn of the year (December-February) differs from the other months because of the preparation of final central government accounts and the final accounts of accounting units. In those months, the data required for the reviews becomes available later than in other months.

  An analysis of the most important changes will be published a few times a year.

• Application program interface

  The Exploreadministration.fi service provides data via an application program interface as well. The API can be used to access data for example on the central government’s financial information or personnel.
