This section compiles reports on key figures in municipalities using several open sources of information. The population data, final accounts data and the municipal and regional division have been collected from Statistics Finland. The classifications of changes in the size and demographic of municipalities are based on classifications by the Ministry of Finance. Demographic changes have been calculated on the basis of the average annual demographic change over the last five years. The municipal tax information has been obtained from the Tax Administration. The accuracy of the information is the responsibility of the authorities concerned. The contents of the reports have been defined together with the Ministry of Finance, and their technical implementation and maintenance is the responsibility of the State Treasury.
